Senate District was one of Montana’s most hotly contested legislative races in 2016, and with the support of the MRLCC, Terry beat Democrat Hal Jacobson by more than 5 points for this open Senate seat. The 2016 race was the first election since redistricting in 2013 added more rural areas to the district, formerly centered in Helena.
