Over the past four election cycles the Montana Republican Legislative Campaign Committee has achieved an unparalleled level of success.
In 2008, while Republicans struggled across the country, the MRLCC recaptured the State Senate and helped Montana become one of only three states in the nation to flip control of a legislative chamber from Democrat to Republican. Building on that success, Republicans captured an historic 68 House seats in 2010 and went on to expand our Senate majority in 2012. While facing an uphill battle against a new Democrat gerrymandered legislative map in 2014, the MRLCC held on to our majorities in the State House and Senate.
Representative Adam Hertz defeated the incumbent Democrat Andrew Person with 52% of the vote. This race was targeted by the MRLCC with significant time and resources in a district where Republicans have trailed Democrats by a significant margin for more than a decade.

Representative Kris Hansen won a hard fought race against incumbent Democrat Senator and former Public Service Commissioner Greg Jergeson. The MRLCC invested heavily in direct mail and radio advertising to help Kris capture this Democrat leaning seat.
In 2012 the MRLCC won 5 of 6 targeted State Senate districts. One of those was SD 24 in the Billings Heights where political newcomer Roger Webb took on former Democrat Rep. Wanda Grinde.With the help of the MRLCC, Roger put this swing seat in the GOP column with just 51.5% of the vote.
